Forgiveness in the Akashic Records

  |  Ulrike Manhart

By forgiving others, we heal ourselves.

We start with an Affirmation I really love:

“Today I forgive all those who have ever offended me. I give my love to all thirsty hearts, both those who love me and those who do not love me.”

There has probably been a Situation or two in your Life in which you have been hurt – whether intentionally or unintentionally. Over Time, the Memory of this Event often turns into Resentment or even Hatred. However, this primarily harms you. However, you may also find that you yourself resent something you have said or done. And this sometimes shows up in Akashic work in relation to soul connections to previous lives as negative unjustified karma which becomes part of our divine soul template (blueprint). It also shows up as Anger Hooks or unhealthy Self-punishment programs unfold. You can find out more about this in my Holistic Akashic Records Training.

In the Psychology of Peace, Forgiveness is the Renunciation of Blame by a Person who feels victimized.

This primarily internal Process can be carried out independently of the Perpetrator’s insight and remorse. Forgiveness is a coping Strategy with which a Person in the Position of a victim can deal with the stressful Consequences of an external or internal Violation. Forgiveness is seen as a psychological Process that can be researched psychologically.

Forgiveness plays an important role in most religions. Forgiveness also plays a major role in Akashic Records healing work. It is about forgiving ourselves. It is about asking forgiveness from others involved in the Soul’s History. It is about releasing parts that take up so much Space within us.

Guilt and Responsibility

When the responsibility for a big or small catastrophe/trauma/experience/happening appears in the Akashic Records, I am often asked questions such as: “How do I do a forgiveness ritual? How do I actually ask for forgiveness?” This blog is intended to help you find a path that is right for you. No matter what position you are in. The main concern is peace.

Guilt and responsibility. Many people can not forgive. I too have been stuck on many things for most of my life. Not getting anywhere. I always blamed my resentful Taurus personality for this.

Forgiveness is not about what happened being right. This is never the case with sexual abuse, violence or worse. Forgiveness does not mean that everything is right. It’s about you no longer suffering from what happened. These are two different things.

Guilt always makes you a victim and a perpetrator.

No longer fighting and resisting in the here and now that it happened. Whether victim or perpetrator. You can no longer change the experience. But you can change the meaning of the experience. Prison or paradise.

Think more about Responsibility than Guilt.

Forgiveness Rituals

A forgiveness ritual requires your willingness to WANT to forgive. Sometimes this takes time. Please don’t force anything. Each individual senses exactly when it is time.

If you are not yet ready to let go, first read which thoughts make it easier for you to forgive and why this is worthwhile.

Forgiving & letting go

Take time to find out what and who you have not yet forgiven. Or, in the case of the soul connections in the Akashic Records, take another close look at this situation.

First write down the names of the people who come to mind. People who have disappointed, hurt or offended you in your life, with whom you are perhaps angry or not on good terms, or with whom you have the feeling that there is still something to forgive.

Also make a note of anything you may not have forgiven yourself for.

When you’re done, look at your list and ask yourself:

What is really done and where am I still carrying something around with me?

With the remaining people, go through the following journaling impulses individually – person by person.

Get the memory off your chest.

Write down exactly what happened, how you felt and what was so bad about it. Write down everything you want to get off your chest now. Don’t think long and hard about how you formulate things, just let it out as it comes.

As we all know, it takes two to tango. So also write down what your own contribution to this story may have been – no matter how small it may have been. (Please leave this out for experiences of abuse).

Heal with a forgiveness mantra.

Everything is connected to everything. Whatever happens out there in the world and whatever we experience has to do with ourselves in some way. Law of Resonance and Law of Attraction. Only when we take full responsibility for our lives do we really come into our power and flow. As long as we feel guilty about something, we unconsciously pretend that we don’t deserve to be “powerful” beings.

Especially when it comes to forgiveness, it is important to free ourselves from the role of victim, to release old connections and entanglements and to transform painful memories. In other words, it is about healing yourself. A forgiveness mantra, for example, helps with this.

I like to use a simplified form of Ho’oponopono – an ancient forgiveness ritual from Hawaii. You repeat the phrases over and over again:

THANK YOU, I AM SORRY, PLEASE FORGIVE ME, I LOVE YOU

Then hand the matter over to the universe, the universal intelligence, a higher power, God or love, power animals, angels, whatever is right for you….

I AM READY FOR A MIRACLE.

You cleanse your energy field with this mantra. You forgive yourself within yourself – and are ready to let go and ask the divine principle for transformation.

A few words about the forgiveness sentences:

“I’m sorry”

…is acknowledging and admitting that you may have played a small part in this event and are – at least in some way – partly responsible. Maybe you were a “vibrational match” (in vibrational frequency) to attract this situation. Or maybe it was for a higher lesson or because of a soul contract.

“I forgive you”

This statement can sometimes be difficult. What makes it easier is that you don’t have to mean it 100%. It is your intention and inner willingness that counts, as well as your desire to forgive and let go.

“I love you”

Love is the most powerful and effective force in the universe. Love can heal and transform everything. And that doesn’t mean that you have to call the person in question and make a confession of love. Your inner intention, your inner attitude and the blessing that you send out to this person on a soul level are also sufficient here. This allows you to cleanse your energy field and regain a little more of your power.

“I hand the matter over to the universe”

You don’t have to do the healing and transformation yourself. You therefore don’t have to rack your brains and stress about how forgiveness works and what exactly you have to do now.

Hooponopono can pave the way to forgiveness for you. This is a forgiveness ritual that originated in Hawaii.

Resentful thoughts prevent you from achieving inner peace. Forgiveness, on the other hand, makes you mentally and physically healthy. This has even been proven by recent studies. Find out more about Hooponopono and its effects in this article.

Hooponopono: What is it anyway?

As already mentioned, Hooponopono originates from Hawaii. The ritual has a long tradition there. Literally translated, the term means something like “making up for a mistake” or “putting something right”. In earlier times, Hooponopono was mainly practiced by Hawaiian shamans, the so-called Kahunas.

However, modern science is now also studying the topic of the forgiveness ritual.

Even today, many extended Hawaiian families still use the traditional ritual of forgiveness to resolve conflicts or even alleviate ailments. The whole family sits down together, discusses the problem and then performs the ritual.

Interesting to know: Hooponopono is now a recognized form of therapy in the United States. This is mainly thanks to the efforts of Dr. Hew Len, a doctor from Hawaii.

The aim of Hooponopono is to forgive yourself and others. Many people find this difficult, as forgiveness is often equated with absolution for unjust deeds. However, this is a misconception. Rather, it is about finding your own inner peace and taking responsibility. Unpleasant situations happen again and again in life: but you decide how you judge them.

Used correctly, Hooponopono can help you achieve greater contentment and inner balance. Free your soul from dark thoughts and resentment.

Forgiveness in other Cultures

Roman Goddess Clementia – Ki

Clementia the Goddess you can call in to help you to forgive.

In Roman mythology and ancient religion, Clementia is the goddess of clemency, leniency, mercy, forgiveness, penance, redemption, absolution, acquittal and salvation.

In India

In India, it is a long-held tradition to seek forgiveness after a puja is performed. During the Kshama Prarthana (the prayer for forgiveness), a devotee asks for the forgiveness of the one they are worshipping for any mistake that might have been committed either mistakenly or unintentionally.

Or another Tantric Practice is called the Siddha Puja and Yagna.

Kshama Shloka is the Prayer of Forgiveness.

The Heart Ritual after Death

Weighing of the Heart This is why hearts were left in Egyptian mummies while their other organs were removed, as the heart (called „ib“) was seen as part of the Egyptian soul. If the heart was found to be lighter or equal in weight to the feather of Maat, the deceased had led a virtuous life and would go on to Aaru.

In ancient Cultures and still today it is all about Purification. Purification was performed by pouring water upon oneself, by burning incense, by using natron, by changing one’s clothes. And still today you have in Bali the Melukat ceremony is a ritual to cleanse the body – both spiritually and physically, from our present life as well as past lives, from the negative elements by washing the body in holy water.

In Japanese Buddhism, a basin called a tsukubai is provided at Buddhist temples for ablutions. It is also used for tea ceremony. In the traditions of many Indigenous peoples of the Americas, one of the forms of ritual purification is the ablutionary use of a Temazcal known as a sweat-lodge, as preparation for a variety of other ceremonies. As you can see this would be another interesting Blog.

Today it is about forgiveness.

Do a letting go ritual

Take the paper with your memories and say goodbye to them in your own way. For example, you can burn it, tear it up or put it in the nearest river as a boat.

I like to collect or buy flowers. At home, I fill a large bowl with water and put the flowers in it. I light a candle and write everything down, while playing my favorite Hoòponopono variations by Jennifer Zuli or the one from my Teacher David Lurey. You can find them on Spotify.

Or another way is that I go out into nature. Prepare a nice place where I can be undisturbed. And sing, light incense in a bowl and connect with the thing/person on a soul level.

In Mexico there is also the tradition with the egg. “Limpia con huevo” Egg cleansing is an ancient Indigenous ritual that uses a raw egg to cleanse your aura from any negative energy you might unknowingly be holding onto. Egg limpias are often practiced in Latin American countries like Mexico, Peru, and Ecuador, though similar practices can also be found in places like Italy, Greece, Scotland, and the Philippines. Curanderas and healers have used egg limpias for centuries to cure illnesses, release negative energy from a person, and remove any mal de ojo that might be weighing you down or draining your energy. Egg limpias can also aid in your healing process, especially if there are things you need to finally release.

Also in my Shop is a strong Chord Cutting Meditation in German available.

After everything you have experienced, discover the gift.

After you have symbolically let go, ask yourself:

– What have I learned from this?

– What might the whole thing have been good for?

– How does this experience help me now to go into the future stronger?

Perhaps you would like to record your insights or your new perspective in some form: for example, write it down, draw a picture, summarize it in a word or a short sentence, find a symbol for it or make a collage.

“If we really want to love, we must learn to forgive”. Mother Theresa

“There is no love without forgiveness, and there is no forgiveness without love.” Bryant H. McGill

„Forgiveness is the power of the mighty; forgiveness is sacrifice; forgiveness is the quieting of the spirit. Forgiveness and meekness are the qualities of the self-controlled. They represent the eternal virtue.” Pramahansa Yogananda

May this Blog support and help you to make deep inner peace with you and all around you. And one day you will love the sound of your feet walking away from things not meant for you.

Trust & Love,

Uma
